ANSWERS:

1. go to the toilet, 2. It’s your round, 3. a fag,  4. with some froth on the top, 5. gin and tonic, 6. half a pint.

How would you answer the following questions:

1. «What’s your tipple?»

2. «Fancy one from the top shelf?»

3. «How about a chaser?»

4. «One for the road?»

HELP:

1. tipple – favourite alcohol drink, 2. a drink from the top shelf «the optics» – strong alcohol drink , 3. chaser – a whisky e.g. after a beer, 4. for the road – the final drink.

Think of 3 ways of asking someone what they would like to drink.
